MelanSol® to reflect Sunlight and neutralize Free Radicals

Impex International Corp., makers of MelanSol® Sun Care products, launched their new 100% Natural product line that is designed to reflect sunlight instead of absorbing it, as most products on the market currently do, and to neutralize free radicals. The products provide dual protection for the human skin against damaging effects of UVA and UVB radiation. The protection encompasses UV reflection by mineral pigments and cell protection by scavenging of UV induced unstable free radicals. The reflecting mineral pigments combined with the antioxidant properties of Bio-Melanin, Green Tea and Vitamin E, help neutralize free radicals and create a long-lasting, synergistic UVA/UVB protection.

In a recent National Nutritional Foods Association convention, Peter Zahner, president of Impex International explained the effectiveness of the super-antioxidant Bio-Melanin used in MelanSol® products, "Bio-Melanin has been shown to be a thousand times stronger than Vitamin E and has a molecular structure that matches that of human Melanin, which makes it ready for the body to use."                                                                                 
Zahner, a career engineer, began developing MelanSol® in early of 2002. Part of the impetus to his work comes from dealing with basal-cell skin cancer, the most common and most innocuous form of skin cancer.

"I thought about it for years," Zahner says. "I had been using sunscreen regularly and I started to think about the chemical ingredients used in traditional sunscreens."  Zahner focused on a series of studies, including one in his native Switzerland, which found a correlation between areas of fast-increasing skin cancer rates and promotion of traditional sunscreens. "I worked on a way to get rid of the chemical ingredients."

In the meantime we have learned from customers that if only applying MelanSol® they allegedly do not get sun allergies anymore. They report that skin with allergies such as eczema, seborrhea dermatitis and the like does not react anymore (as it does when applying traditional sunscreens).
